Product Details

  • Helps support a calm and relaxed demeanor in mares
  • Supports mood and normal muscle function
  • May be beneficial for nervous or excitable geldings and stallions

HAPP-E-MARE is a veterinarian-developed equine supplement designed to support balanced behavior and physical comfort in mares during seasonal transitions and throughout the estrus cycle.

Mares are long-day, seasonally polyestrous breeders - meaning their reproductive cycles are influenced by daylight changes. As days lengthen in spring, mares typically enter estrus, and as daylight decreases in fall and winter, they transition back into anestrus. These phases, particularly the transitional periods, can last 60-80 days and are often associated with shifting behavior and sensitivity.

HAPP-E-MARE provides targeted nutritional support during these times, helping to maintain a calm demeanor and support normal physical comfort. This supplement may also be beneficial during regular estrus cycles by promoting a balanced temperament and supporting normal muscle function.

The formula features a unique blend of herbs, minerals, and a high level of natural Vitamin E in a palatable powder form. It is suitable for use in mares, as well as geldings and stallions during periods of training, travel, or other forms of stress to help promote relaxed behavior.

Important Notice: Not for use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating mares. Always consult with your veterinarian before introducing any new supplement to your horse's regimen.

Developed by Dr. Frank Reilly, DVM, an equine veterinarian with expertise in metabolic health, nutritional balance, and seasonal wellness support.

Not just for mares!

This product has helped my nervous gelding get back to focusing. He is anxious and works himself up around new venues and especially at shows. He wouldn't drink or eat at a horse show no matter how long we’d been there or how hot it was. He was always tense and tight lipped, unable to pay attention, staring off as though trying to find someone he knew. It was dangerous for him even though he always performed well. I started him on this and he is chill as can be. He can munch away on his hay now and watch the goings on without fretting and working himself into a tizzy. He is so much more relaxed. Thanks Dr. Reilly for really caring about horses and making such great products!

Happy Happy Mare

Our Hanovarian mare would be very "mare" when she is in season. We started using Happy Mare about 3 years ago and it really calms her swings in hormones. Great product. It seems to work well.

Hands down - the best mare supplement on the market!

Happ-E Mare has been a miracle worker for my mare! This supplement has helped ease her symptoms while she is in season, allowing us to continue to work through each cycle. The addition of crucial vitamins and minerals are an added bonus.

Constantly Cycling to Happy Girl

Rose is my main lesson horse. She and I have had a long road together, not the least of which included ulcers, a false pregnancy and constant hard cycling for an entire year. The ulcers were treated first, then her cycles. I started her on Happ-e-mare and saw some improvement. We did a single injection of Depo to break the hormone cycle and kept her on her supplement. She has had normally timed cycles since and is no longer crabby, uncomfortable or distractable. Even while cycling she will ignore the boys to come in for feed. She’s a completely different horse and able to focus on being a beginner lesson horse, where she is an absolute gem.
