There are several problems with Glucosamine shown in studies, such as:
Many studies have found that it can increase Insulin Resistance. Insulin Resistance is the #1 case of laminitis. Many horses are Insulin Resistant or Insulin Resistant and Cushings and should not take Glucosamine.
A study found it can cause an increase in breathing problems. Horse COPD / Asthma can increase Insulin Resistance. Horses already struggling to breath need to avoid Glucosamine.
