I have a gelding who was not only body sore, but who also suffers terribly from anxiety when with other horses. He used to need Ace to ride with strange horses. He would forget everything he ever learned when near new horses. This product has helped him greatly with his soreness but more importantly has helped him with his anxiety. He can pay attention to me now instead of fretting about the horses around him.
I'm not surprised this has so many great reviews. I have a mare who gets really ouchy, lethargic, saddle-sour, and even colicky around her heat cycles. Mare Magic (raspberry leaves) helped, but it wasn't enough to curb her issues completely. A friend recommended Happ-E-Mare and I'll say this: the change was DRAMATIC! More than I expected. Beyond helping her during her heat cycles, I've found that she's much sweeter and calmer all month long. I think the Vitamin E and Magnesium were a huge factor, but it has a lot of great ingredients. On a more practical note, it's super powdery, so we feed it in a timothy pellet mash—it mixes into the water just fine. Another funny thing: my mom feeds this to one of her geldings because of all the great minerals, and it has been a huge help with his body-soreness!
I love my mare, Lucy, and it hurt to watch her suffer and deteriorate into a horse that I didn't recognize every month. While in heat she became hostile, anxious and totally unpredictable. This was not Lucy. It had gotten so bad that I actually considered breeding her in hopes of reducing the symptoms and subsequent bad behavior.
I waited to write this review until Lucy had gone through both Spring and Fall reproductive cycles which were her most difficult. Happ-E-Mare has restored my mare to her normal kind and relaxed self.
I have 3 mares with 3 different personalities. This product has not only calmed them down, but they stand next to each other without the typical “she’s touching me” attitude. They were like 1000 pound toddlers. My girls are much more relaxed since starting this...and I am so happy!
My mare turned 5 in May and what a summer ! I compete in sorting & she went as far as kicking at other horses and even nickering at the cows. I had her on this (twice a day) for 1 week before our last competition & she didn’t kick out. I’m hoping this works as I’m not wanting to use regumate next year.
