My horse has suffered from sweet itch for 2 summers now. I have tried all kinds of ointments and shampoos. Fed itch relief supplements from well know companies. Nothing has worked. His belly was swollen and raw and his sheath was starting to swell. He had rubbed the top of his tail out and part of his mane. I was at the end of my rope. Then my friend told me about your website and I went online and ordered the supplements, ointment and shampoo. It has been a game changer. With in the first 3 days his belly was less inflamed and the rubbing had stopped. By week 2 the hair was growing back on his belly. I really do believe all 3 of these things have helped my horse. I'm so glad I tried this and will recommend it to anyone. TN from Yadkinville, NC
I am feeding this to my Icelandic mare that has sweet itch. I have been battling it for 5 plus years now. Have tried a multitude of feed throughs and supplements as well as topicals. Most have not worked at all or I have seen little difference. I have been feeding this for about 3 weeks now and her sweet itch hasn't progressed as it has past summers. I am hopeful that it will continue to either stay the way it is now or improve and the few scabs she has in her mane will go away. She has not rubbed all her mane off as in past years either. Will know more at the end of the summer but so far so good! I live in SW Colorado.
This is a very good product. I have a 31 year old mare that gave me some babies, and she did develop sweet itch during the last couple of years. One year she totally scratched off her whole mane, it was so sad! Now I have her on Summer Eczema powder and within 1 Week only I already could tell the difference. She started scratching a month ago and is doing so much better now, after she had it twice a day for 2 Weeks by now, she is pretty much done with scratching, if she can go into the shade and is wearing a mask as well and I treated her itchy spots with a Aloavera/Bee-Honey cream as well.
Colorado. We are on our second month of use. My two horses have incredible coats since starting SE cream...no rubbing or external itching. Bathing with Map was not so successful due to severe weather. One of my Rockies has been on 2 doses a day for almost 2 months now...I'll go to one dose a day soon. I told Dr. Reilly for about 1.5 years my vet has been at a loss for treating an itchy, smelly-oozie and swollen sheath that caused all kinds of itching. It seems he urinates in his sheath which I guess causes the secondary infection issues. Since administering a successful dose of SMZ and using SE cream and the wonderful ointment on his outside sheath area, he is showing more positive signs...possibly a little less internal itching definitely less oozing, crusting and smegma drip. We still cover his sheath during the day to protect from bugs and promote sheath healing, but I am very hopeful that we finally have a plan that is very encouraging for my guys future.
My horse HAD horrible skin allergies. I started using Summer Eczema, Map Shampoo and Ointment about 3 years ago. Thanks to Dr. Reilly and his products so far this Summer my horse is only on the Oral Summer Eczema. He is looking and doing GREAT! Thank You
