Encore Farms has about 35 miniature horses in Florida. The summer heat heat humidity really does a number on some of them with itching skin to a point it gets bloody. We have tried a lot of products to no avail. The QUADRABIOTIC OINTMENT worked almost instantly. We put it on one afternoon and the next morning the sores had started to dry up. The horses finally got relief!!! I highly recommend trying this to anyone whose horse is suffering from skin itchies!!!
I really like the quadrabiotic ointment. It works even more quickly than steroids on my mare's itchy ears
In the past three or four years, my 13 year old mare seemed to develop a type of scratches. More profound during the spring and summer seasons. Irritated skin on both hind legs with scabs and at times inflamed a bit (puffy). I am not sure why she has developed this as I keep a very clean barn and paddock and she is brushed daily. I have tried everything and contacted my local vet for help for some antibiotics to kick a bacteria infection as she was puffy in areas. I Washed down legs with an anti fungal shampoo 2x week- drying them as well with a paper towel. Was using desitin for the skin after drying them. Desitin seemed to help but only to a degree. Reached out to Dr. Reilly as I needed advice on what could I be doing wrong, and what do I need to get this under control. He stated I was doing good with the antibiotics and washing 2x week with fungal shampoo and drying them off but to use this enzyme ointment on the irritated skin, massage it in to the inflamed areas of her skin- and that I only needed a tiny bit. I bought a few containers and at first I did rub/massage this ointment in on a more heavy side; even on the scabs ( I did not pick or peel the scabs; I let them fall off with a light rub when I washed the legs). This ointment killed the bacteria and no scabs left, her legs look so dam good now. She has pink skin as she is a Paint horse and the hair is now growing nicely over the irritated areas, legs are not swollen, look nice and thin and she seems to feel better. Bless you Dr. Reilly as her legs look great. My farrier was out just yesterday, and he could not believe how her legs looked. He also stated she was so well behaved on those back legs when trimming. (I must say, those scratches and scabs and cracks that she had on those back legs must of hurt when trimming and holding up the leg). Farrier stated this was the best she ever did on those back legs. You must be consistent each day in order to see the results. Yes I did go thru a couple containers of the ointment in the first few days but gee whiz; I see the results of this cream. At the beginning she would be very protective of those back legs as I am sure they hurt, but after a week I noticed she was allowing me more when rubbing on the ointment on those tender spots. I will continue with this to make sure it stays this way. This is a Miracle cream and the only cream that really seemed to work.
