I could tell a big difference in the first week with my very arthritic gelding. He is no longer stiff and runs and plays with the other horses.
My 26 yr. old mare had a reaction to an injection in her knee. She was hospitalized for 2 weeks and when she came home I started her on the Comfort Quick.. it's been about a month now and i can see a difference in her comfort level...i will be trying it on my Pssm/IR mare also.
Started in the Fall for my 33 and a 23 year old horses. Started at 2 scoops a day. Was able to cut the 23 year old back after several months to 1 and 1/2 scoops, but not the 33 year old. Now that March is here, and the 23 year old is now 24 :), he is on one a scoop a day. I do split it though with 1/2 scoop given in am feeding and the other half in the pm feeding. The 33 year old is a tad of a picky eater. So I give him 1/4 scoop in the am, 1/2 scoop at noon feeding and 1/2 to 3/4 scoop in the pm feeding (depending if the weather is warmer or more raw). The 33 year old eats better in the evening as well, not as apt to leave anything behind. We are on a hill. Both horses still canter or hand gallop up the hill to come in! I’d say it’s working pretty well! And, by the way, the 24 year has also been on Heiro for over ten years :)
My mare has laminitis. after using this for about two and a half weeks, I have noticed a difference in her ability to walk and turn. still have a ways to get there but definitely has made an impact
