This supplement includes herbs traditionally used to support skin wellness in response to environmental irritants. My mare's always suffered from seasonal itching, and she'd been taking daily antihistamines for it (multiple pills per day!). The allergy meds worked reasonably well, but when I heard about your product from a friend, I decided to try it.
Your supplement has worked wonderfully. Within a few days of your product, her itchiness and skin sores subsided, and they disappeared within 2-3 weeks.
I count that as a success!
After reading all the great reviews for these products, I ordered them and about two weeks ago, I started my horse on the powder and the cream (I already had the shampoo prescribed by my vet). Following the protocol of one scoop, twice daily, and applying the (very small bottle of) ointment several times a week in a thin layer (as instructed) on the “hot spots,” I have not seen any significant change in his itching and rubbing. The ointment is almost gone, and the exorbitant price I paid for both the powder and ointment do not seem worth it. I know that it is going to take longer than two weeks to work, but I was hoping and praying that this product would be the one to give my horse significant relief, and that I would see some sort of improvement by now, especially after reading all of the reviews. I’m disappointed and still so frustrated.
After less than two weeks, my horse is finally looking like a real horse again, not like a stuffed toy that someone loved too much.
I started my Halflinger/Belgian cross on this a month and a half ago. It has greatly reduced his discomfort and itchiness - previously he would rub his belly until it bled, now he is still a little itchy but not anywhere as much as before. He is still scratching his mane and tail but we are working on those using the shampoo and ointment in conjunction with the powder. This is a year-round condition with my boy so he will likely stay on this supplement.
My new mare arrived at my farm itching her tail raw on anything that stood still! She was impossible to stand on the aisle & not rub her hind end on stall doors (when inside) & fence boards (when outside). In less than a week she became a different horse...no longer in agony. It definitely works!
Black and white TWH would have reaction to bug bites and terrible itch every summer. She’s had NO scratch marks and I haven’t had the need to use the ointment I also bought so don’t know if it works or not.
I have had my mare going in 7 years. She is a draft cross.
She came to me with the middle of her mane rubbed out, so I began the long journey to get it grown out.
She did not show the common sight a of eczema. No sores, just small welts on her back and neck which went away if I rinsed her with cool water.
Just out of curiosity I called and discussed and this product with EMS, and decided it couldn’t hurt.
This is the FIRST YEAR she is not rubbing her mane, and her skin in her mane and tail is so much clearer of dead skin and scruff.
I’m so excited to see how much her mane will improve this year!
I used this last year and just started up again. It helped my quarter horse along with a Fly sheet from BOET and stalling in those crucial hours.

Summer Eczema Oral Supplement, Sore No More Shampoo, and Kinetic Vet Vetasan Ointment should always be used together for successful results
The cause is a gnat called Culicoides with nicknames of “biting midge” and “no-see-ums”. They cause a painful bite, and after they bite, suck blood from the area. They are called “no-see-ums” because they are only the size of a period at the end of a sentence. You feel a bite but you can’t tell what it is from. Their saliva has foreign proteins containing antigens which set off a reaction in the horse’s skin in six- to twenty-four hours after a bite. The reaction causes the redness and itchy condition.
The allergic reaction causes hair loss, inflamed skin on the belly, mane, and tail. The itchy condition will limit or eliminate riding.
Only a few horses in a herd are usually affected because it is an allergic condition, and the conditions are not contagious. A horse with affected skin will not transmit it to another horse or person. There is a genetic component to Horse Summer Itch – offspring of affected horses are more prone to have Horse Summer Itch.
The Goal is to heal damaged skin and stop re-occurring problems – this regime is done internally and externally. The horse is given 20cc twice a day of a natural herbal tonic to help heal skin. “No steroids, no antihistamines.” FEI/USEF Ok. Thousands of doses in field trials show tremendous healing. The horse is also covered externally with a fly spray to stop further damage.
The amount of each herb, the part of the plant used to make the herb, and the blending process make Summer Eczema Oral Supplement unique. Hundreds of horses have shown great results in field studies.
Goal: To heal the damaged skin and stop further episodes.
